Advantages of Chartering a King Air 350 Turboprop Aircraft
The model of Beechcraft King Air 350 grew out of the the original 200 model design and was introduced into flight service in 1981 originally as the 300. To make improvements on the already wonderfully designed line of King Air planes the 300 got an update in 2005 making it the 350. This is the current model still in production and is one of the most popular turbo prop aircraft ever.
Two Pratt and Whitney PT6A-60A engines propel the 350, coming from the PT6 engine group, one of the most successful and reliable ever created. This family of engines has been part of the King Air group from the beginning. Thirteen passengers can fit into the plane but it generally will be carrying eight or nine, and it can take those people almost 2000 miles. Also the improvements to the 350 include an iPod dock, a high definition video monitor, overall lower cabin noise and cabin lighting controlled by the passengers.
One of the biggest advantages of chartering a turbo prop aircraft is the versatility it allows versus other aircraft types including jets. A turbo prop offers the best of both worlds in speed and range, while not requiring as much runway distance for takeoff and landing. This allows passengers to use airports closer to their ultimate departure and destination locations, thus saving transportation time at either end of their trip. These airports tend to be less busy than those with commercial airline service, further reducing travel times.
The charter process involves searching for charter operators in your local area. In any medium to large metropolitan area there are inevitably several King Air 350 charter operators to choose from. Typical charter prices range from $1,400 to $3,000 per hour. These rates do not include fuel, taxes, ramp fees, or other surcharges. This aircraft can be utilized by many different groups or individuals effectively. Such uses include corporate applications and private individuals for personal or business use. The aircraft’s range makes it ideal for all but the longest trips.
In summary, chartering a King Air 350 aircraft allows passengers to achieve a time savings and travel flexibility virtually unrivaled with any other private aircraft. It is one of the safest, most economical aircraft in it’s class, and anyone in the market for charter travel would be wise to take a close look at the 350.

Raisbeck Performance Systems now flying on half of all King Airs
Raisbeck Engineering, designer and manufacturer of the world’s leading aircraft improvements for four decades, is celebrating a major milestone with the 3,000th Beechcraft King Air to be equipped with Raisbeck Performance Systems.
Hawker Pacific, headquartered in Sydney, Australia, installed the systems this past January. There is at least one Raisbeck System on 50 percent of the 6,000 King Airs in operation. This King Air B200C is BL166 has had an EPIC PLATINUM™ package installed. The package included Hartzell/Raisbeck Power Props, Ram Air Recovery System, Enhanced Performance Leading Edges, Dual Aft Body Strakes, High Floatation Gear Doors and Crown Wing Lockers.
The aircraft is owned and operated by the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, and is the 31st RFDS King Air to have Raisbeck’s Performance Systems installed. Hawker Pacific will complete two more RFDS King Air B200C’s, BL167 and BL168 with their Raisbeck Epic Platinum installations by the end of June.

The technology of Pro Line 21 involves hardware and software independence. Future changes in functional requirements can be implemented in software and loaded onto the hardware, without redesign. Likewise, processor upgrades or obsolete components can be accommodated without impact to the existing software functionality.
